Subject: содержание права Пожалуйста, помогите перевести.Выражение встречается в следующем контексте: очередная статья из закона о недрах. Содержание, основания возникновения и срок права пользования участком недр. или содержание - это не про право? что-то я совсем запуталась Заранее спасибо |

I believe that when you have legal right to do something, it's because it is provided for by law or legal contract, thus it is subject to terms and conditions of that law or contract. Therefore, something like this perhaps? Conditions, term and legal basis for the right to use subsoil. |

Kath, i'm afraid they may have smth different in mind. In Russian, it sounds more like the (set of) prerogatives which that particular right comprises. It's like for instance - the right to use that uchastok nedr includes (subsumes, implies, comprises etc) the right to a) run seismic tests on it b) carry out (geological) prospection work there, c) eventually extract the "natural resource" therefrom (e.g. oil, gas, whatever, as long as you actually find smth worthwhile there), but NOT, for instance, to build a pigsty there, or use the plot of land (and subsoil thereunder :-) for growing hemp. So why don't you just say smth along the lines of the prerogatives comprising the right...bla-bla-bla |

| Very amateurishly, I would say that Scope sounds more or less OK, although a tad descriptive, not legally strict. Extent is slightly less OK, but "v valenki soidet" (c). :-)) |
