| The frase literally means something like "From a distant time perspective". I.e. it means that some time should have passed, that time to be much longer than the duration of the epoch in question. E.g. it is difficult to examine the late Soviet period as an "epoch" now, when we are srill likely to focus on too many internal differences within that "world". In 50 years, however, it will be easier to feel some general spirit of that epoch. |
