Помогите, пожалуйста, подобрать подходящее словосочетание для термина "lay summary". Это понятие используется при клинических исследованиях. Нашёл в инете определение на английском, но, может быть, в русском языке есть устоявшееся выражение? Привожу ниже на английском.

Lay (lay person)

The term lay means non-professional. In research, it refers to the people who are neither academic researchers nor health or social care professionals.
