The setup procedure is divided into different steps. First a coarse setup has to be done with the aid of test signals (A3E signal). The main goal of this procedure is to find the correct signal levels and to measure the synchronous phase modulation. Then a fine setup using the DRM signal is performed. In addition, correction filters for compensation of the frequency response and synchronous phase modulation in the transmitter are determined. Doing some final adjustments with these measurements helps one to get a DRM spectrum that fulfills the DRM spectrum mask. Fine settings are made manually or automatically.
