Subject: взял среднее значение gen. По грузовикам, я взял среднее значение исходя из 30 дней, получилось около 3 333 руб.As for trucks, I split the difference based upon 30 days. That’s about 3,333RUR. не нравится также based upon/ и в целом. спасибо! |

"split the difference" means to take the MEDIAN value between two points. For example, I want to sell you a truck for $5000, you want to pay $4000, and we settle on $4500. I guess you might explain this in Russian saying мы договорились взять среднее значении But in the given case, it's obviously referring to the MEAN value (average) resulting from taking the 1-month value and dividing by 30 to come up with an estimate of the value per day. So "split the difference" is not appropriate here. |

Francis, 4500 is as much the mean value of 4000 and 5000 as it is the median value. |
