Subject: enclosure gen.
Тот же текст о переносе компьютерного оборудования с этажа на этаж. Подскажите, пожалуйста, в жанном контексте слово "enclosure" означает "помещение"?

The existing LNL2220 is required to be relocated to the 4th floor. Should an additional enclosure be required this shall be as defined below. (If there is space capacity in Enclosure #2 relocate the LNL1320 and LNL8000 from enclosure #1 to enclosure #2 and relocate the LNL2220 & enclosure #1 to the 4th floor )....

Standard Security Equipment Enclosure shall meet the following manufacturing criteria:
- The enclosure shall be UL, CE, or BS Listed.
- The enclosure shall be of metallic composite with a hinged door.
- Electronic control panel boards shall not be mounted to the enclosure body and
door.

Спасибо!

Да.
Really?
Помещение теперь изготавливают из слоистых металлопластиков с навесной дверцей?

Hi Anetta. If your LNL-.... devices are by Lenel, it could be these (see list):

http://www.securix.com/access-control-enclosures_lenel.php

And IF the 'enclosures' for them are described as 'NEMA-1' and/or 'NEMA-12' (see same list), this could be an industrial standard of the (US) National Electrical Manufacturers' Association, in which case the 'enclosures' could be secure metal boxes and cabinets for electrical/computer equipment, and could look something like this:

NEMA-1 enclosures:
http://www.cableorganizer.com/computer-cabinets/bud-industries/nema-steel-enclsoures/

NEMA-12 enclosures:
http://www.controlconceptsllc.com/drivephotos.htm

Note that they may be different sizes from these. Apparently NEMA-certified enclosures are used a) to prevent people interfering with/stealing electrical/computer equipment, and b) to protect electrical devices from dust etc.

NEMA may have used the term 'enclosure' as a generic term to cover containers of all sizes, from small, wall-mounted metal boxes to large cupboards/cabinets.

If none of the above applies, then 'enclosures' could mean something completely different, of course....
