Subject: площади и объем, занимаемые оборудованием и коммуникациями gen. Проверьте, пожалуйста, данное предложение:Русский вариант: Объем и площадь помещения на одного работающего на участке должна составлять соответственно не менее 20м3, исключая площади и объем, занимаемые оборудованием и коммуникациями, в том числе проходами. Мой вариант: The volume and area of a room per employee in the manufacturing site should be at least 20m3, excluding volume and areas occupied by equipment and communications including passages. чем обосновано то, что вы поменяли местами площади и объем в переводе? the areas and the volume, если что - определенный артикль, т. к. речь идет об "определенном" оборудовании и коммуникациях. коммуникации = services |

There's nothing wrong with 'passages' (or 'passageways', which means the same thing here) if the проходы are inside a building. If they're outside, 'walkways' is probably better. I'm not sure exactly what коммуникации includes here, but in English, 'communications' by itself normally means telephone calls/emails/radio messages/etc, rather than the cables and equipment that carry/route them, which we'd call 'communications equipment'. 'Services' isn't a bad idea, but inside a building, it can also mean plumbing, sewerage pipes, gas pipes & meters, electricity cables & meters, etc -- the 'utilities' -- as well as the cleaning ladies and the lady who brings the tea trolley round (if it's an office). Also you have 'excluding' and 'including' in the same sentence, which will confuse people -- so I would paraphrase it by putting something like 'equipment, xxxx and passageways', depending on what коммуникации includes. |
