2) Существует ли какой-нибудь более-менее распространенный вариант перевода термина rigorous containment.
Мне он встретился в приложении к паспорту безопасности:

Оригинал: Process design aiming to prevent releases and hence exposure to the environment; this includes in particular conditions ensuring rigorous containment; performance of the containment to be specified (e.g. by quantification of a release factor in section 9.x.2 of the CSR);

Поискала по Интернету. В документе Европейского химического агентства нашла:
Rigorous containment is obtained by technical means to ensure virtual elimination of exposure and hence that risk is controlled.

Мне ничего в голову не пришло, кроме как «полное предотвращение воздействия», но я уверена, что это не подходит.
