Subject: кусок мирового пирога насколько я изучил интернет в английском языке не используется world pie именно в том значении, что у нас - разделение мировых ресурсов между крупными странами. Как можно перевести такое "кусок мирового пирога", чтобы носителям языка была понятна аналогия?

'a (big/large/small/bigger/larger/smaller/etc) slice of the (global etc) (pie/cake)' (idiomatic expression) = a (big etc) portion of sth good -- such as resources/profits/wealth. 'cake' is more common in the UK, but 'pie' seems to be more common in the US. For examples, if interested, go to Google and search for: "slice of the cake" OR "slice of the pie" (as written, with quotation marks). |
