The ball prover is a 16 inch Daniel bi-directional ball prover which has the following main functional components: a inlet butterfly control valve (with a Rotork quarter turn actuator), two 20 inch launch chambers (one ‘Home’, one ‘Away’), a 16 inch prover ball, a 4-way plug valve (with a Rotork actuator and a Rosemount model 3051TG differential pressure transmitter), a 16 inch U-shaped proving pipe with detection switches, two Rosemount model 3051TG pressure transmitters (one on the inlet and one on the outlet pipe of the prover, range: 0 to 15 bar-g), one pressure indicator gauge (on the inlet pipe of the prover), two Rosemount model 0065 PT 100 temperature elements (one on the inlet and one on the outlet pipe of the prover) and two test thermowells (one on the inlet and one on the outlet pipe of the prover).
