| leaven of a tough day (Could anyone else comment on this? I don't see the problem here, as one of the meanings of the word leaven is 'something that modifies or lightens' (Merriam Webster), so to me, the whole expression "leaven of a tough day" (I came across it in one of the texts) could be translated as I've translated "разрядка после напряжённого дня" – are there any other suggestions?
