Let's brainstorm!

It's shit for the birds -
:)Thanks. |
wow! oh, man! |
ик....ик... |
if you're looking for slang words of praise, then it doesn't necessarily have to be beer-aimed. anything positive, as in "da shit" will do, no? as regards beer specific, it would be more difficult or you'll need to come up with something yourself. like halston did in the 90's. remember their slogan? halsten knalst al dolsten, or something like that (forgive me my phonetic spelling). halsten - knocks your head off. or, budweiser, king of beers. again, advertising slogan. |
Kath, do you like Budweiser by the way? :-) |
I mean the Bud made in the US :-) |

Slava, do you like Bud made in Russia "under license"? :-)) |
Bud is a sh*t. The "licensed" one is a real sh*t. |
All "licensed" beer made in Russia "is not a beer", imho :-) All Bud made in the US is slightly better but still ranks miles below the Czech original :-( |

2Slava - I never liked American Budweiser. There is another name associated with it, we call it "piss water" (sorry for being crude). I do love Czech Budweiser, especially on tap. It is one of my favourites, along with Grolsht, Leffe and Molson Red. Very true about licensed beer made in Russia. When there, I drink S. Korona or Baltika. What's the best Russian beer? (this is in danger of turning into an OFF :)) |
Kath, I am Ukrainian, but I would dare to recommend you Baltika №6. It is one of the best dark beers I ever tried in Russia (I prefer dark beer). |
To kath: thanks for "PW", I've never heard that one :-) As for the best Russian beer, I'm not really an expert :-) I think most beers in Russia are very similar in taste in quality, so picking the "best one" is just a matter of personal preferences. |
Slava, you are right. It is a matter of personal preferences not only because of the reason you mentioned. It is a matter of personal preferences "per se". But in every country which produces more than one kind of beer you can choose a kind you like more or less. For example, you have no choice in Turkey (if we are talking about "local breweres"). They have only one sort - "Efes". (It is much worse than Bud...) |
2DarkWolf - A guy at the Russian Consulate just recommended Guinness with some cranberry (?) liquor that he tried in Amsterdam. Apparently it's very good. Do you, per chance, know what it's called? I know there are Snakebites (beer and apple cider), and Shandy (beer and 7Up), and the original Bloody Mary (yes, beer and tomato juice) As regards really bad beer, 2 vie for that title: Schlits and Red,White &Blue. Both American |
Krushovice is the best! |
american Bud is total crap, Czech one is slightly better. DarkWolf If you like bitter beer you ought to try Boddingtons or my favourite John Smith's (Extra smooth, green lable, not red). It's amazingly good ;-) |
