Subject: World Superbike: grid&grip Не могу понять и найти перевод "the grid" и "grip" в отношении мотоспорта, в результате не получается перевести выражения:Yamaha Motor star gave a magical display to charge through from 16th place on the grid to take a lead he would never lose on lap seven и еще: started way down the grid. и с grip: a lack of grip held him back as he raced to a still impressive seventh in the opening race и еще одно с grip: struggling for front end grip he came home 10th in race one. Пожалуйста, возможно, кто-то знает. Подскажите. |

| grid - это, по-моему, "стартовая решетка", расчерченная на асфальте, на которой располагаются первые несколько (8-10?) гонщиков, показавшие лучшие предварительные результаты. grip - сцепление, правда как понять front end grip не знаю, м.б. сцепление переднего колеса? |

| про grid - конечно, там должно быть больше 16 гонщиков. попробуйте найти в вебе схему какой-нибудь трассы - там должно быть нарисовано |

Grid Short for starting grid. The order in which the drivers line up for the race start. This order is usually determined through qualifying. The driver who managed to end up in the first position is in pole position, while the driver on the last spot is simply in a bad position. Grip The stickier a tire, and the larger the contact patch, the more resistance against scrubbing the tire will have. This means higher cornering speed and acceleration/deceleration. Also called traction. |
