Subject: Attention Editor: Some Suggestions on Adding Certain Stylistic Values to the Menu
The following list of stylistic values is used in A.S. Hornby's Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary of Current English. Perhaps some of them could be added here to everyone's benefit. I realize that some are already being used but posting the entire list only underlines its concise character:

-Archaic

-Colloquial

-Dated

-Derogatory

-Dialect

-Emotive

-Emphatic

-Euphemistic

-Facetious

-Figurative

-Formal

-Humorous

-Ironical

-Jocular

-Laudatory

-Literary

-Literally

-Modern use

-Old use

-Pejorative

-Poetic

-Proverb

-Rare

-Rhetorical

-Slang -Taboo

-Vulgar

As well, adding Affectionate as a new category would be appreciated.

And on a final note, changing Idiomatic Expression to Idiom would be far more correct.

Thank you.

Al
