stay on the straight and narrow | не нарушать закон (Authorities in Canada arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a pair of stores and cops say they were able to identify the suspect by way of his pet chihuahua, which inexplicably accompanied him during the capers. The weird case reportedly began late last month in the city of Winnipeg when an individual burglarized a beer store with the diminutive dog in tow and made off with some alcohol. The following week, a similar heist occurred at a jewelry store and, once again, the brazen bandit had a chihuahua by his side. Winnipeg police subsequently spotted the suspect walking his chihuahua down the street this past Saturday and, recognizing his proverbial best friend from the burglaries, cops swooped in and arrested Jason David Vanwyck for the two heists. In detailing the bust on social media, Winnipeg police indicated that the dog was "taken into safe care and not injured" during the apprehension. What will become of the dog next is uncertain, though one can only hope that its run-in with the law will inspire the chihuahua to stay on the straight and narrow going forward.
