celebrate не подойдет? |
LingvoUniversal предлагает вариант «wet». |
drink to celebrate |
немецко-ангельский словарь предлагает для фразы "это нужно обмыть" следующее: That calls for a drink. не знаю, пойдеть ли |
Для первого пункта в Вашем списке (дом) не забудьте вариант house-warming (party). |
пардон, что лезу в чужой монастырь действительно, переводят как celebrate: ...at the end of each semester the newly graduated architects hold a farewell party, celebrating the completion of their diploma theses with a bottle of Prosecco, music and dancing into the morning hours. |
And then there's обмыть. The standard meaning is "to wash something all over." Мы обмыли ноги в речке. (We washed our feet in the creek.) But you often hear the colloquial usage: to have a drink or two -- or 10 -- to celebrate a purchase or deal. So the phrase: Купили новую машину? Обмыть её надо! does not mean that you need to immediately wash down the new car you bought. Nor does it mean that you have to break a bottle of champagne ritually over the hood as if it were the Queen Elizabeth II. It means: New car? Break out the booze! It's party time! Берди |

PS. Не думаю, что "wet a new house / fur coat" подойдёт... Получается, или "celebrate" или "christen". Для дома ещё - "have a house-warming party". В Мультитране есть вариант "drink on a new house", но не похоже, что он часто используется. |
